Solvitur ambulanto ~ it is solved by walking.
I love to walk. It is one of my favorite pastimes. It is rejuventing and refreshing. The body moves, the mind calms. Some of my best problem sovling comes when out for a walk.
You’ll find the answer as you go.
I have been hitting the trails for a good couple of hours daily. It has been a winter wonderland here in Whistler. We have had over 8 ft of snow alone in March, 4 ft of which fell last week. More snow is on its way….
I have mixed feelings about snow in March. The days are longer and the hope of Spring is in the air.I actually let myself daydream about long summer days. Something I would never allow myself to do in February! It is important to embrace the weather here otherwise it makes for a very long cold winter.
Bluebird days make the going a bit easier.
Taking time to notice the show that nature provides.
Stocking up the creative well with images. Love walking and paying attention to all the detail around me.
My favorite walking companion…Caribooo
Take the time. Admire the view Enjoy the journey.
P.S. Sorry Flytribe girls…no cute shoes here! Its all boots, ski boots or snowshoes over here. I have come to the realization that I am a bit of a barefoot kind of girl. I am either in ski boots or barefoot….or flip flops when life is really good!
If you want to see some really cute shoes check out our blog hop over here at The Creativity Tribe.
I feel some online shopping coming on…
Gorgeous pix! Your friend Cariboo looks lompy. I think I will eat him/her. 🙂
Beautiful photos!! I sooo want to learn how to cross country ski…lame that I don’t know how..especially since I grew up in Montana and now live in Wyoming!!! It would make winter days so much easier…getting out enjoying the sunshine in winter sometimes proves to be difficult but not as difficult when you’re in skis!
Absolutely stunning photos!!!
Julie, I see that our unusually warm winter did not make it to Whistler. I dont know what I would do with al that snow! Good thing you have such a sweet spirit to get you through! It is a beautiful backyard to play in I imagine! Warm wishes being sent your way…
I was trying to figure out where you were lounging in the sun reading!? My time will come soon enough..I hope.
Gorgeous pics! Don’t worry about the lack of glamorous footwear, my daily footwear consists of sloggers, muck boots, wellies, paddock boots…all decidedly unglamorous, with the possible exception of my red cowgirl boots. Great post!
Awesome pics! Makes me want to come and ski Whistler. I’ve only visited in the summer with all the mountain bikers. What a paradise. 🙂
Love the Snow Shots – cool!! Thanks for joining in on the blog hop.
Love the pictures, but I’ve gotta tell you, I’m glad it’s you and not me living in it! =)
lol..exactly why I am heading your way next week:)
Your photos have almost made we long for winter again…ALMOST! This is our 7th winter in Florida, no snow, no boots; just sun and heat. Beautiful photos!!

Absolutely gorgeous territory! But 8 feet? Oy, will you ever be able to dig out? I hope your boots are fur lined 🙂
Beautiful photos… of course the dog is my favorite. 😉
I can see why! Cariboo os quite the poser..
Beautiful blog, Julie! And boots are mandatory!
Wow! How beautiful are these pics! I love Whister!! My favorite thing about ski boots is taking them off 😉 Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos!
Oh, how I’ve missed the snow this year. Thanks for the snow shots and I love that you shot the skis. 🙂
Hi Friend! What a lovely post. Just stunning photos. Thanks for sharing the beauty that surrounds you. No snow in Austin, Texas this year at all. Most years, its seems we at least get a dusting, but not this year. In fact, we may have just had the shortest winter on record. But, I’m OK with it. One of the reasons I live here.
Amazing pics!!!
